Dispatch and handling
All orders are picked, packed and dispatched within 1 to 2 working days of your order being placed. Working days are Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and bank holidays. Orders placed on a Friday, or before a bank holiday weekend, will be dispatched on the next working day. For example, an order placed on Friday before a bank holiday Monday will be dispatched on the following Tuesday.
Tracking
Every service we use is fully tracked. A tracking number for your order will be sent by email once dispatched (assuming an email address is provided at checkout). You can track your order at https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item.
Royal Mail Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 are fully tracked but do not require a signature. For these services, the package being scanned by Royal Mail at the correct address is considered proof of delivery and the order is considered delivered by notes. We will not accept claims for non-delivery for packages scanned as delivered at the correct address.
Delivery estimates
Delivery time estimates are provided by Royal Mail and are not guaranteed. We will not offer delivery fee refunds for orders not delivered within these estimated timescales. Guaranteed timeframe services are very expensive and we are not charging for or using them. We cannot control Royal Mail delivery times once your order has left us, and items are not considered lost until 7 working days (following the day of dispatch) have passed.
If you are not in at the time of delivery
If you are not in, the postman will generally leave a note to say the parcel has been taken back to the local delivery office, where you can collect it or request a re-delivery. Alternatively, the package may be left with a neighbour, and again a note should (but will not always) be left at your address. If a neighbour accepts delivery on your behalf, the order is considered delivered. This is a condition of us accepting your order. If you do not agree to this policy, please contact us prior to dispatch and we will cancel and refund your order. Once Royal Mail have attempted delivery, it is your responsibility to collect from the neighbour or arrange collection or re-delivery with Royal Mail.
Student accommodation, shared accommodation and business addresses
Many deliveries to student or shared accommodation are received by neighbours or a concierge, in line with Royal Mail policy. At business addresses, a colleague may accept delivery on your behalf. In all cases, if the package is scanned as delivered by Royal Mail, notes. will not accept claims if the package was not passed to the intended recipient. This is a condition of us accepting your order. If you do not agree to this policy, please contact us prior to dispatch and we will cancel and refund your order.
Goods lost in transit
Any item not delivered must be reported to notes. within 10 working days of dispatch. We will not accept claims for non-delivery if we are not informed within this period. When informed of non-delivery, we are required by Royal Mail to wait a total of 7 working days following the day of dispatch before a claim can be raised, so we do not consider items lost until 7 working days have passed. At that point a claim will be raised and a replacement sent (stock permitting). Where items are out of stock, a refund will be made.
In the event of an order lost in transit, you will need to cooperate with notes. and Royal Mail in dealing with the claim. Failure to cooperate may invalidate the claim.
Incorrect delivery addresses
notes. cannot accept responsibility for delayed or lost orders where an incorrect delivery address has been provided. Your order confirmation email will state the delivery address given with your order. This is your opportunity to tell us about any errors. It is your responsibility to ensure all delivery details supplied are correct. If email contact details are not provided and we are unable to confirm the details given, notes. again cannot accept responsibility for delayed or lost orders due to an incorrect delivery address.
